Kallistra emerges from the still waters like a forgotten legend resurfacing through time itself. Wrapped in intricate gold detailing and layered mechanical ornamentation, her towering crimson hat becomes a cathedral of clocks, lenses and hidden histories.

The surrounding landscape feels ancient and untouched. Dense woodland frames the scene while the waterfall behind her glows like a fracture in reality, illuminating the water’s mirrored surface with a dreamlike haze. Bonez balances rich steampunk mechanics with natural beauty, creating tension between industry and wilderness, precision and instinct.

Her gaze remains calm and unreadable behind ornate goggles, as though she has travelled centuries to arrive at this exact moment. Every detail rewards closer inspection, from the engraved jewellery and layered textures to the reflections rippling across the waterline. Another masterpiece of ” Milliers Des Points ” where Bonez melds thousands upon thousands of multi coloured micro dots giving light , shade and depth.

Kallistra feels both regal and untamed, suspended somewhere between fantasy, folklore and machinery.

Inspiration

Unusually, Bonez got the inspiration for “Luminara” from the works of another artist, Vladimir Tretchikoff –        ( 1913 – 2006 ) He was born in Kazakhstan, a self taught artist, Vladimir totally transformed the normal mans  appreciation of art during the latter part of the 60’s and 70’s to such a degree that at the time he was rumoured to be the worlds richest artist after Picasso. The two images below are typical of the genre with prints selling in the millions. His 1952 oil painting ” The Green Lady ” went on to become one of the best selling art prints of the 20th century. The popularity was thought to have been generated by his pictures bringing a sense of the exotic and colour at a time when normal people did not travel themselves to exotic places. Perhaps the demise in popularity followed the rise in affordable foreign travel when you could ctually go and see the exotic for yourself rather than just look at an image on your living room wall. Bonez remembers his parents having ” Balinese Girl ” hanging in the living room in the swinging sixties and tried to weave that memory with his own off-the-wall style to create ” Liminara “
