For all my geeky friends out there who want to nail down the nitty-gritty of my original artworks, limited edition prints and non-limited edition prints please read on. For those of you who just want to enjoy my beautiful pictures from a purely aesthetic point of view then I wouldn’t bother, it will give you a headache!
All my works are either, created on, or reproduced on e-TEC Super – Satin 250 grams per square metre (gsm) museum quality photographic stock. (anything over 160 gsm is classified as card though commonly referred to as “paper“) To put that into perspective, the default weight for most common stock used in the U.K. greeting card industry is 300 gsm card.
PVC Free
One of the most toxic and damaging materials on the planet is PVC ( Polyvinyl Chloride ) so you will no doubt be pleased to know that I only use PVC FREE card.

All my printing is done on the very latest HP Latex 335 commercial printer. The reference to “Latex“ is this context is relating to the type of ink being used. A lot of printing companies use solvent-based inks which contain compounds that are harmful to the environment. Latex Aqueous inks, on the other hand, are around 70% water and contain NO hazardous chemicals. ( Latex inks are widely used for outdoor printed matter such as banners and signage because it is exceptionally good at colour retention, longevity of brilliance and kind to the environment.)
Glazing
Every picture that we frame and post will only be offered glazed with 2mm thick museum quality Perspex / Artglass. Although this option is much more expensive to supply than standard picture framing glass, for Bonez, The Boneyard Studio, and the planet it was always going to be the right and proper thing to do.
Perspex has a much smaller carbon footprint in its manufacture than that of glass which requires very high temperatures and energy consumption to produce. Glass is also much heavier than Perspex to transport which only adds to this carbon footprint.
The UV protection qualities of perspex is far superior to that afforded by glass, perfect for protecting Bonez’s vibrant colour compositions from sunlight damage. Typically, 2mm thick Perspex eradicates up to 97% of damaging UV light compared to glass which has none.
Plexiglass has been around for over 90 years and is extensively used in art galleries and museums around the world because of its shatterproof security qualities, fantastic clarity of vision and more recently, its friendliness to the planet.

1. – A4 print only on heavy duty card. ( 29.5 x 21 cm – 8.27 x 11.69 inch )
Your print will be delivered to you flat in a heavy duty corrugated envelope by the Post Office. The cost of postage and packaging is included in the price quoted for U.K. deliveries only.
2. – A3 print only on heavy duty card. ( 42 x 29.5 cm – 11.75 x 16.5 inch )
Your print will be delivered to you flat in a heavy duty corrugated envelope by the Post Office. The cost of postage and packaging is included in the price quoted for U.K. deliveries only.
3. – A2 print only on heavy duty card. ( 59 x 42 cm – 23.5 x 16.5 inch )
Your print will be delivered to you in a heavy duty cardboard tube by the Post Office. The cost of postage and packaging is included in the price quoted for U.K. deliveries only.
4. – A4 print with mount, backing board, protective inner sleeve.
The off-white mount supplied has external measurements of 40.5 x 30.5 cm ( 16 x 12 inch ) chosen to fit most standard “ off the shelf “ picture frame . The internal opening has a bevelled edge and measures 28.5 x 20 cm ( 11.5 x 8 inch )
The backing board is identical in size to the external mount measurements given above.
The sealed inner sleeve is a clear protective dust cover which ensures that your purchase arrives in pristine condition.
* Remove the protective sleeve before framing.
